Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday inaugurated the new Supra Multispeciality Hospital at Motorstand in Agartala, adding to the state’s growing healthcare infrastructure.
Speaking at the inauguration, Saha stressed the importance of strengthening government healthcare facilities while recognising the role of private hospitals in expanding access to specialised medical services.The Chief Minister’s Office said Saha also attended a blood donation camp organised as part of the inauguration programme and appreciated the organisers and donors for supporting the public health initiative.The new hospital is expected to expand access to multispeciality healthcare for residents of Agartala and surrounding areas.
Earlier, Saha chaired a high-level meeting to review issues related to Tripura’s power sector. Senior officials of the state government and Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) attended the meeting, according to agency reports.Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath and Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy were also present.
The meeting reviewed ongoing development works under the Agartala Smart City project, including their implementation status. Officials also discussed repair and maintenance of national highways and roads managed by the Public Works Department across the state.Saha also inaugurated the 54th Senior State Badminton Championship 2026 at the NSRCC Badminton Indoor Hall in Agartala.Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the importance of promoting sports and providing opportunities for athletes to develop their skills and represent the state at higher levels.
