Afghanistan Defence Minister Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, dismissed Pakistan’s claims that India was involved in recent tensions as “groundless" and “illogical." He said Kabul’s policy will never allow its territory to be used against other countries and stressed that ties with India are independent, guided solely by Afghanistan’s national interests. Mujahid added that while Afghanistan seeks to maintain good-neighbourly relations with Pakistan, the country aims to expand cooperation, not fuel conflicts.Mujahid told Al Jazeera that “Afghanistan and Pakistan are neighboring countries. Tensions between them serve no one. Their relationship should be founded on mutual respect and good neighborly principles."
The Minister of National Defense strongly rejected claims suggesting that India played a role in the recent tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, in his latest remarks, stated that the ceasefire agreement with Afghanistan is conditional, adding that the agreement depends on the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s ability to control opposition groups, those who, according to him, use Afghan soil to launch attacks on Pakistan. He said that no specific timeline has been set for the ceasefire, and the situation will continue as long as the agreement is not violated. The Pakistani defense minister added: “This was very clearly spelled out that there won't be any incursions and TTP will not have any facility on their soil. We kept on repeating.”
