The story of the film Saajan is romantic, the dialogues are poetic and the music is brilliant.

Directed by Lawrence D’Souza, Madhuri featured alongside Salman and Sanjay Dutt in the movie.

Madhuri said, after reading the script of this film, "I instantly decided to be a part of it."

The shooting of the movie was completed in 36 days, something unheard of at that time. 

Saajan, which went on to become the biggest grosser of 1991. 

It was also dubbed in Telugu as "Allari Priyudu" and the dubbed version ran for around 12 weeks.

Madhuri called her journey in Bollywood “One thrilling rollercoaster ride.”

Kumar Sanu won the Filmfare award for best male playback singer for the song "mera dil bhi kitna paagal hai."

Nadeem, Shravan too won the second consecutive Filmfare award for their best music direction.

Saajan film revolves around the characters Aman (Sanjay Dutt), Akash Verma (Salman Khan), Pooja Saxena (Madhuri Dixit).
