Manali,a popular hilly resort of Himachal Pradesh received first snowfall of this season on January 6,2022.The much awaited snowfall was moderate in intensity and lasted for few hours, much to the delight of multitude of tourists. With a short break, the activity is likely to go on till Sunday,January 9,2022.Manali,dominated by fluffy snow than light spray of rain. The hilly resort on the bank of Beas river recorded total rainfall in the first week of January mounts to 80 mm till January 6.Tourists in good numbers have reached Manali. Delhi based senior journalist Sandeep Thakur also enjoyed snow in Manali.

Heavy snowfall is expected in this entire region between January 7 to 9.Manali is gateway for Skiing in the Solang Valley and Trekking in Parvati Valley. Manali, the adventurous town in the Kullu Valley gets connected with Spiti Valley through Rohtang Pass. As per information hundreds of vehicles, including tourists buses,got stuck in snow between Kullu and Manali after the road became slippery with 10 cm of snow.
