Actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was arrested on Saturday by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). The 23-year-old was questioned in connection with a rave party at a cruise off the coast of Mumbai on Saturday night.
He was detained last night and subjected to long questioning after which the arrest was made on Sunday afternoon.
Aryan Khan is facing charges under Section 8C, 20B and 27 of the NDPS Act. Khan was among the eight people questioned by the NCB.
The central agency had recovered cocaine, charas, MDMA (ecstacy) and over Rs 1 lakh from the party.
The NCB raided the cruise ship after being tipped off about a rave party and possible use of drugs. According to sources, the NCB officials went to the party as civilians.
The others who were detained along with Aryan Khan are Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra and Arbaaz Merchant.
All those detained were taken for medical examination at NCB office, news agency ANI reported.
Aryan is Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan's eldest son. The couple also has a daughter, Suhana Khan, and another son, AbRam.
