Under the upgraded emergency response initiative themed “Ekke Number, Sabbo Bar”, the integrated Dial-112 system will combine police, fire and ambulance services on a single platform to ensure faster assistance during emergencies across the state.According to sources, the 400 newly inducted emergency response vehicles are equipped with modern technology, including GPS tracking systems, smartphones, wireless communication devices, PTZ cameras, dash cameras, mobile NVR systems and solar power backup facilities. Officials said the advanced systems will enable real-time monitoring, quicker communication and improved response coordination.
The service will function round-the-clock using GIS-based monitoring systems, advanced vehicle tracking technology, SIP trunk communication and automatic caller location identification. All district coordination centres across the state have been integrated into the network.Citizens will be able to access emergency assistance through multiple channels, including voice calls, SMS, WhatsApp, email, web portals, chatbot services and the SOS-112 India mobile application.Shah also inaugurated mobile forensic science laboratory vans under the initiative titled “Science on Wheels – Towards Faster Justice”. The state government said one mobile forensic laboratory unit would be deployed in every district to strengthen evidence-based investigations and improve on-site forensic analysis. Each forensic van has been fitted with specialised equipment, including crime scene preservation kits, fingerprint detection tools, narcotics testing systems, digital forensic support devices, high-resolution photography equipment, ballistic examination kits and gunshot residue testing facilities.
According to officials ,the mobile forensic laboratory vans would help reduce delays caused by transporting evidence to distant laboratories and minimise the risk of contamination during investigations. Preliminary forensic examination, evidence collection, preservation and digital documentation can now be conducted directly at crime scenes. The initiative is aimed at improving scientific investigation standards, strengthening evidence-based policing and ensuring faster and more transparent delivery of justice.Officials further stated the integration of advanced emergency response systems and mobile forensic infrastructure is expected to significantly improve public safety mechanisms and enhance people’s confidence in law enforcement agencies.Director General of Police (DGP) Arun Dev Gautam, legislators, public representatives and senior administrative officials were also present during the programme.
