At least 25 people have been killed in two separate aviation accidents in Saudi Arabia and France. In Saudi Arabiaa, a helicopter operated by Saudi oil giant Aramco crashed on Sunday, killing at least 14 people on board, Saudi state media reported. The helicopter went down in the Ras Tanura area on the Kingdom’s Gulf coast, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). Authorities said the cause of the crash was not immediately known and an investigation had been launched. Ras Tanura hosts the largest refinery in the Middle East, and it is operated by Saudi Aramco.

According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, all the people killed in the crash were citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi ministry of energy expressed its condolences to the families of the people killed in the crash. Aramco had resumed crude oil loadings on Friday at its Ras Tanura terminal in the Gulf after they were halted for nearly four months. Saudi Arabia, the world's biggest oil exporter, has joined a rush to move cargoes after West Asian producers ramped up oil and gas output and exports ahead of an interim deal to halt the war between the United States and Iran.
In France, a civilian aircraft carrying skydivers crashed near Tomblaine on Sunday, killing all 11 people on board, local authorities said, in one of France’s deadliest light aircraft accidents. The crash killed five instructors, five students, and the pilot, said Yves Seguy, the prefect of the eastern department of Meurthe-et-Moselle. “There were no bystanders among the victims,” he added, speaking at a press conference.

The aircraft, registered in Germany, crashed in a grassy area near the runway of the Nancy-Essey aerodrome, close to a residential area and two roads. The cause of the incident was not immediately clear.
