Saira Banu celebrates Vyjayanthimala’s 91st birthday

Saira Banu, a Bollywood icon known for her elegance and grace, recently took to Instagram to wish her favourite co-star and dear friend Vyjayanthimala a happy 91st birthday. Through a heartwarming post, Saira Banu reminisced about their first meeting, shared anecdotes from their time together, and revealed how their friendship blossomed over the years.
Saira Banu’s first encounter with Vyjayanthimala happened during a visit to Mehboob Studios with her mother. The young Saira was enthralled by Vyjayanthimala’s mesmerising performance in the song “Radha Krishna.” Saira fondly recalled, “I was thrilled to see such a spectacular song number of ‘Radha Krishna,’ where Vyjayantimalaji was swirling in a beautiful Ghagra Choli.”
Their next meeting was equally memorable, taking place at a film premiere. Saira, who had just begun working on “Junglee,” was in awe when Vyjayanthimala approached her and gently touched her cheek, calling her “beautiful.” Saira humorously confessed, “I think I did not wash my face that week!” Saira Banu also shared her admiration for the on-screen pairing of her husband, the legendary Dilip Kumar (fondly known as ‘Sahib’), and Vyjayanthimala. She highlighted their successful collaborations, with “Gunga Jumna” being her all-time favourite. “She did a fabulous job as Dhanno, and Sahib worked very hard on her diction to record the Purbi dialogues on tape with the correct pronunciations and dialect,” she noted.
Despite their successful collaborations, a misunderstanding during the shooting of “Ram Aur Shyam” led to Vyjayanthimala’s replacement. However, fate kept bringing them together at various functions and dinners. It was during one of these meetings that Saira Banu, tired of the unspoken tension, decided to take matters into her own hands. She recounted, “I got fed up and brought the two of them together to patch up as friends again. That was quite a feat!”Their friendship only grew stronger from that point. Vyjayanthimala, along with her son Suchendra, would often visit Saira and Dilip Kumar whenever they were in town. Saira fondly recalled a time when she and her husband helped solve a complicated issue troubling Vyjayanthimala and her son. This act of kindness cemented their bond, leading Vyjayanthimala to lovingly call Saira her “angel.”

As Saira Banu concluded her heartfelt message, she expressed her gratitude for the beautiful friendship they share. “Ever since Vyjayantimala labelled me as her ‘angel,’ and as for me, Vyjayantimala turned into Akka,” she wrote. With such touching memories and mutual respect, it’s no wonder these two legends of Indian cinema have maintained a deep and enduring friendship over the years.

Sudhir Yaduvanshi performs his blockbuster track 'Kill (Kaawaa Kaawaa)’ live show in Noida

Sudhir Yaduvanshi has over the years worked immensely hard to establish his niche and become one of the most admired and respected names in the Indian music industry. He is all about quality and that's why, literally all his tracks so far, the likes of Shambhu, Bam Lahiri, Bam Bhole Bam, Main Fariyadi, Jeena Nai Jeena, Image Banayenge, Layi Vi Na Gayi, Mangda Main Mannat, Sukoon Ban Gaya, Aa Bhid Ja Re, and his recent chartbuster 'Kill (Kaawaa Kaawaa)’ have all won hearts. Sudhir's greatest strength has to be that he is a naturally gifted talent alongside a hardworker and hustler who has actually put in efforts to train himself professionally for singing. He has got his basics and nuances sorted and that's why, he hardly needs to rely on technology for live stage shows.
In this entire life so far, whenever Sudhir has performed his songs live on stage, it has been nothing less than an electrifying performance and experience for the audience. The melancholy, shrill and quality that he brings to the table with his voice makes it one of the finest and most memorable experiences for the audiences and that's why, he is so loved. Well, a similar experience took place recently at his live stage show performance in Noida as well. This was also the first time when he performed his superhit song 'Kaawaa Kaawaa' from the movie 'Kill' and without any iota of doubt, he managed to floor them with his vocals and ended up taking them to a different heavenly experience altogether with his performance. Reacting to the successful performance and the song, Sudhir says,
"For me, live shows have always been very important and by God's grace, whenever and wherever I have travelled and performed, I have only received love. While I always knew that 'Kaawaa Kaawaa' was well received by the audience, I got to realise the madness and craze live in front of me for the first time since this was the first time when I performed this track. It was surreal and so motivating for me. Thank you Noida for all the love." Well, absolutely brilliant and here's hoping that Sudhir continues to come up with such smashing hits in the future as well. On the work front, Sudhir Yaduvanshi also has many other interesting tracks coming up, the official announcements of which will take place soon as per the ideal timelines. Stay tuned for more updates.

Madhurima Tuli is one of the finest and most admired actresses in the Indian entertainment industry and over the years, all thanks to good quality and credible work, she's earned tremendous respect for herself. Not just for her on-screen work and persona folks, she's earned a tremendous amount of respect for herself for her off-screen persona as well and that's what netizens love the most. At a time when unnecessary and futile flamboyance is at its peak, Madhurima's real nature which is all about humility and simplicity connects tremendously well with the audience and that's what we love the most. She is someone who puts equal priority for her work as well as her family and her actions speak for themselves. She has had the purest bond with her brother Shrikant Tuli who is also an entertainment industry professional and well, both of their exemplary bond is often the 'talk of the town' among many.
Right from childhood, the duo have had a special relationship and the very core value of 'raksha' which is 'protection' has been taken care of always when it comes to this duo. From growing up together and having cute and puerile 'sibling fights' for funny reasons to becoming each other's pillar of strength and emotional support at this stage of their life, this sibling duo has certainly come a long way forward in their life. So, what does Madhurima Tuli have to say about her adorable brother and what does her Raksha Bandhan traditions look like for this year? On being asked about the same, Madhurima shares and we quote,
"Raksha Bandhan is one of the most wonderful and purest festivals in our country. Raksha means protection and bandhan means bonding. So in short, we understand it as the bond of protection. I have been very fortunate to have a caring brother who will literally push himself beyond regular limits to go the extra mile for me. He is a brother, friend, philosopher, guide all-in-one for me and it's the same for him as well when it comes to me. Right from childhood till now, our equation has certainly evolved and I take a lot of pride in him because of the wonderful human being that he is. He is sincere and at the same time very family-oriented and that's a good quality. He makes me happy and proud and we are glad that our brother-sister relationship serves as a quintessential one for many siblings out there. As far as the traditions are concerned, it's simple and easy. We both make it a point to be at home and celebrate this day with the entire family alongside good food and sweets. For both of us, family is our top priority and that's what makes our bond so strong and special. Wishing all my fans and admirers a very Happy Raksha Bandhan going forward."
