Russian strikes kill 15 in Ukraine, nearly 100 injured

In Ukraine, at least 15 people have been killed, and more than 100 others injured after a Russian ballistic missile strike on Kyiv hit an arms exhibition taking place on Friday, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko said on Telegram. The event was attended by members of Ukraine’s defence sector. Russian glide bomb also attacks on the eastern city of Sloviansk killed five people, while officials in the northern city of Sumy later confirmed the deaths of two men in another strike.  
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine had received intelligence suggesting Russia could launch another major missile attack within the next 48 hours. Ukraine also carried out strikes inside Russia. A Ukrainian attack on the city of Kirov, located more than 1,000 km from the front line, killed six people and injured 26 others. Ukraine said it targeted a factory producing components for Russian aircraft and missile systems.
Ukraine also attacked warehouses linked to Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer. Kyiv said logistics facilities could be used to support Russian military supplies, while the strikes affected many small and medium-sized businesses. Russia confirmed the Kyiv strike, claiming it used precision long-range weapons against a site where drones used in attacks on Russian territory were being demonstrated. Moscow said drone manufacturers and Ukrainian security officials involved in planning strikes on Russia were present at the event.
