As per available indications there could be a possible breakthrough in the on going political crisis in Rajasthan. Ahead of the crucial Rajasthan assembly session from August 14, rebel Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Monday met party leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in New Delhi and reportedly discussed issues related the party ond the govt . Sachin Pilot, after daylong deliberations, told reporters on Monday evening that his rebellion was meant to flag "ideological issues". He also thanked Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for "taking the time to hear us out". Ms Gandhi Vadra is part of the party's three-member panel that is expected to look into the rebels' grievances.

AICC general secretary KC Venugopal said in a statement, “Sachin Pilot has met former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and expressed his grievances in detail. They have had a frank, open and conclusive discussion. Sachin Pilot has committed to working in the interest of the Congress party and the Congress government in Rajasthan. He added, “Following this meeting, Congress president Sonia Gandhi has decided that AICC will constitute a three-member committee to address the issues raised by Sachin Pilot and the aggrieved MLAs and arrive at an appropriate resolution thereof.”
The rebel leader who commands the loyalty of 18 MLAs, have been pressing for a change in leadership in the state.Sources said Pilot broadly agreed to a “truce formula” to save the Rajasthan government ahead of the August 14 trust vote proposed by Gehlot. Later , Ashok Gehlot also had a meeting with his close aides in Jaisalmer and discussed the on going developments. He had said he would accept the rebels if they apologised to the party high command.
