Raj Kapoor was a good student of music

Raj Kapoor was a good student of music !! Veteran playback singer Lata Mageshkar also ackonwledged that legendary actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor had an in-depth knowledge of music and music in his movies had his contribution to a very large extent. He as a singer, has done a great job. In ‘Dil Ki Rani’ film in 1947, SD Burman asked Raj Kapoor to sing this song for himself. He sang so beautifully. 
We should know that Raj Kapoor spent 9 years in Kolkata in the 1940s before moving to Bombay.In Calcutta(now Kolkata) he was learning music too and was once a student of Jaddan Bai, mother of Nargis. 
No wonder, the music of his films has been of a very high class. He didn’t sing later as he got busy as an actor and director !!
