Pushkar Singh Dhami will be new chief minister of Uttarakhand. He was chosen by the Uttarakhand BJP legislative party on Saturday, to be the eleventh Chief Minister of the state. He was an Officer on Special Duty to former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshiyari. He had been the state president of Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morch(BJYM).
Besides the MLAs, the meeting was attended by the BJP's central observer and union minister Narendra Singh Tomar, who arrived in capital Dehradun around noon, and its state in-charge Dushyant Kumar Gautam. Ahead of the meeting, Tomar held discussions with several state leaders, including Rawat himself.
