PM Modi's Money Heist dig at Congress over cash haul from MP

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday took a dig at Congress after the Income Tax department seized Rs 353 crore in black money and approximately 3 kg of gold ornaments from the premises of Congress MP Dhiraj Sahu.Referring to the popular 'Money Heist' drama, the Prime Minister said that the Congress has been looting the country for 70 years now.

The BJP has been attacking the Congress over its silence on the issue and has termed it as their "nature" on the issue of corruption.Briefing the media in New Delhi on Tuesday, the party’s senior leader and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has accused the Congress of being involved in illegal and corrupt practices. He added that Congress’ corruption has spread as cancer over the country. Rijiju criticized the opposition that whenever the agencies take criminal actions against them, the opposition parties blame to agencies.

"Congress party and corruption are the two sides of the same coin. Congress is known for corruption, commission, and criminalisation. Corruption and malpractices are the custom and policies of the Congress," BJP chief JP Nadda alleged, adding that the "black money" seized by the Income Tax department at various places linked to the Congress MP is just a small part of "this person's corruption".
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said, "They,BJP-led central government are only targeting Congress. Let them raid BJP leaders as well. Only then will it be known how much (ill-gotten wealth) they have."
