Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation for projects worth Rs 58,000 crore at Velagapudi in Amaravati, which also included relaunching the construction of the greenfield capital city of Amaravati , which is Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's 'dream project'.The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation for 94 projects, which included capital city institutions, national highways, railway upgrades and defence-related installations. As part of resuming the construction of Amaravati, the PM laid foundation for 74 projects worth Rs 49,000 crore, which encompassed the construction of the Assembly, Secretariat and High Court buildings and judicial residential quarters, along with housing buildings for 5,200 families.Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, "In Andhra Pradesh, a new chapter of connectivity is being written. These projects will increase connectivity from one district to another. Connectivity with nearby states will improve.

In his address, Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu says, "Prime Minister Modi had previously laid the foundation stone for Amaravati as the capital in 2014. Unfortunately, the capital was later neglected, and its development was stalled. Today, PM Modi is once again laying the foundation stone to restart the development of Amaravati." Naidu reaffirmed his full support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his mission to protect and serve our nation.

Chandrababu Naidu felicitated PM Modi as he arrived at the event where he laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the Nation various projects for the development of Amaravati's capital city, including roads, defence, railway, and industrial infrastructure projects.
