Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Trade Show & Exhibition for the Kutch–Saurashtra region as part of the two-day Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) at Marwadi University, Rajkot. The event marks a major push to accelerate investment, industrial growth and global partnerships in western Gujarat.
According to information,the trade show a key highlight of the VGRC features over 400 exhibitors representing sectors such as agriculture and food processing, fisheries, defence, energy, petrochemicals, engineering and ports & logistics. Officials said participation from 110 international buyers across more than 16 countries, alongside 20 national buyers, will amplify business linkages and opportunities.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Modi emphasised the region’s economic potential and the government’s continued focus on fostering innovation, sustainable growth and global engagement through initiatives like Reverse Buyer Seller Meets (RBSM) and thematic domes showcasing emerging sectors. More than 1,800 B2B meetings and over 1,500 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be finalized during the conference.The trade show and conference aim to bring together innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, startups, corporates, MSMEs and global partners under one platform — advancing themes of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Vocal for Local and sustainable regional development.
The VGRC for the Kutch and Saurashtra region covers 12 districts, showcasing regional strengths in industries like ceramics, engineering, ports, logistics, green energy and agro-processing, while creating an ecosystem for business expansion and global collaborations.This event follows the Prime Minister’s earlier participation in cultural and spiritual programs at Somnath and is part of a broader agenda to boost economic momentum across Gujarat.
