On the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and several senior leaders contributed to the Armed Forces Flag Day fund, expressing gratitude toward the brave soldiers who safeguard the nation.Observed annually on December 7, the day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by armed forces personnel. It also aims to raise voluntary contributions for the welfare of serving soldiers, veterans, and the families of martyrs.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a message shared on social media, urged citizens to honour the courage and dedication of India’s armed forces. He stated, “On the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, let us express our deep gratitude to the brave men and women who protect our nation with unwavering courage. Their discipline, determination, and spirit keep our people safe and strengthen our nation. Their dedication is a powerful example of duty, discipline, and commitment. Let us also contribute to the Armed Forces Flag Day fund.”Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also made their contributions to the fund, reaffirming their support for the welfare of armed forces personnel.

In Gujarat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel contributed to the fund in Gandhinagar and paid tribute to soldiers who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. He said that honouring and supporting the families of fallen soldiers is the moral responsibility of every citizen.During the event, Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) Krishnadeep Singh and officials from the Military Welfare and Rehabilitation Board were present. According to officials, the funds collected are dedicated to rehabilitation and welfare initiatives for serving personnel, ex-servicemen, and the dependents of those who laid down their lives while protecting the country.Armed Forces Flag Day continues to remind the nation of the immense sacrifices made by its soldiers and reinforces the collective responsibility to support their families and ensure their well-being.
