Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) has issued a series of animated shorts in Kannada advising people of appropriate measures to take during extreme temperatures to keep oneself safe.“Karnataka has not seen such extreme temperatures and heat waves in the recent past. So, we wanted to ensure a wider reach for safety measures, therefore we decided to issue them in a reader-friendly format,” said an official from KSNDMC.The Maximum temperatures are likely to be around 42-46 deg C over parts of North Interior Districts, such as Raichur, Kalaburgi, Yadgir parts of Bellary & Vijayapura districts.

The remaining dists from NIK & most of the SIK & Dakshina Kannada dist likely to experience the maximum temperatures betn 40-44℃. Whereas, parts of Kodagu Udupi Hassan Shivamogga Chikkamagaluru & parts of Uttara Kannada dists are likely to experience betn 33-40℃ till May3,2024.
