In Kerala, the new Cabinet led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan took oath and assumed charge for a second time on Thursday afternoon in Thiruvananthapuram. The 21 member cabinet was administered oath of office by Governor Arif Mohammed Khan at Central Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. Due to COVID constraints, the ceremony took place with a restricted number of less than 500 selected invitees strictly adhering to the COVID guidelines. The ruling Left Democratic Front has retained power breaking the four decade old convention of LDF and UDF alternating the power in the State.
