In Nepal, two people died, and more than 40 others were injured in violent clashes between security personnel and pro-monarchy protesters in Kathmandu on Friday. Several houses, other buildings and vehicles were set on fire as police fired multiple rounds of tear gas and rubber bullets to control the situation. A curfew has been imposed in Tinkune, Sinamangal, and Koteshwor areas. The situation escalated when the protesters attempted to breach the designated security cordon, throwing stones at police. In response, security forces fired tear gas to disperse the crowd. Thousands of monarchists, waving Nepal’s national flags and holding pictures of former King Gyanendra Shah, gathered in the Tinkune area, chanting slogans such as "Raja aau, desh bachau" (Let the King come to save the country), "Down with the corrupt government," and "We want monarchy back," as they demanded the restoration of the monarchy in Nepal.

The protesters vandalized several houses in Tinkune, set one house on fire, and attempted to enter the office of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Socialist) and also tried to enter the office of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center). they set a government vehicle on fire. During the clash, protesters set fire to a business complex, a shopping mall, a political party headquarters, and a media house building, leaving over a dozen police officials injured. The pro-monarchy Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and other groups joined the protest. As per local media report, the Nepali Army has been deployed in the Tinkune area to assist the police in enforcing the curfew.The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a stern warning to those involved in violent protests on Friday, stressing that they will be held accountable for their crimes.
