Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu opened the CII Partnership Summit 2025 on Friday with a strong pitch to global and domestic investors, declaring that the state is adopting a “Speed of Doing Business” approach to approvals and project facilitation. Naidu announced that Andhra Pradesh will offer dedicated escrow bank accounts for industrial incentives along with sovereign guarantees, assuring investors of a seamless and secure business environment. Inviting industry leaders to make Visakhapatnam their “second home,” he also promised the creation of a special airstrip to enable easier access to tourist destinations such as Araku and Lambasingi in North Andhra.
Highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s investment momentum, the Chief Minister said the state has attracted USD 20 billion over the past 18 months, creating 20 lakh jobs. He expressed confidence that Andhra Pradesh would draw USD 500 billion in the next three years, generating employment for 50 lakh youth. Naidu emphasized the state’s strategic advantages—including abundant natural resources and the country’s longest coastline—positioning Andhra Pradesh as the gateway for trade and investment on the East Coast. He also underscored the participation of more than 2,500 industrialists and 522 delegates from 72 countries at the summit, describing Visakhapatnam as one of India’s most beautiful and safest cities, poised to emerge as a major hub for IT and global investments.
Naidu outlined ten guiding principles that anchor the state’s investment strategy and detailed plans to establish corridors for drones, electronics, aerospace, defence, space and semiconductors. He announced the development of a “quantum valley” in Amaravati and said Andhra Pradesh will produce its first quantum computer within two years. Green energy remains a top priority, with the state targeting 160 GW of renewable energy capacity as part of India’s national green energy ambition of 500 GW. He noted that Visakhapatnam’s upcoming data centre alone requires 6 GW, reinforcing the need for large-scale clean energy expansion. The Chief Minister called on global industry leaders to invest in Andhra Pradesh’s high-potential sectors including deep tech, tourism, logistics, agritech, healthcare and electric mobility.
Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, addressing the gathering, said Visakhapatnam is rapidly emerging as a gateway to global trade, with the region already known for its steel, aquaculture and port infrastructure. He said the “Vision Swarna Andhra 2047” roadmap will propel the state toward technological and economic leadership. Goyal highlighted India’s rising global stature in technology, noting that the digital payments model pioneered by India is being adopted worldwide, and that semiconductor investments have already touched USD 30 billion. He reaffirmed India’s commitment to generating 500 GW of green energy and praised the engineering talent of Indian youth contributing to technological progress across the world. The two-day CII Partnership Summit is expected to generate massive investment interest, with early agreements already signed ahead of the event. Naidu reiterated his readiness to host next year’s summit again in Visakhapatnam and announced plans to allocate seafront land for developing a world-class ITPO Convention Centre, aligning with suggestions from the Union Commerce Minister. The Chief Minister said India is on track to become the world’s largest economy by 2047, asserting that the country’s growth is “unstoppable” under strong leadership and a favourable demographic dividend.
