A nonprofit organization formed by Peter Thiel, Greg Brockman, and Elon Musk, Open AI pledged to keep its patents and research open to the public. Having transitioned into a profit-based organization in the year 2019, its achievements are huge, the latest one being the launch of GPT-4.
