US authorities have alerted the Mumbai Police to the presence of Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, on American soil.Acting swiftly, the Mumbai Police have started the process to extradite Anmol Bishnoi, 25, who is implicated in a series of high-profile cases, including a shooting incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence.A special court for Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) cases has issued a non-bailable warrant for Anmol Bishnoi's arrest, said police sources. They said they are waiting for certain court documents to complete the formalities, after which a formal proposal will be sent to the central government for further action. A red corner notice has also been issued for his search abroad.
In 2022, the Bishnoi brothers -among others - were accused of being part of a conspiracy to raise funds and recruit youth for "terrorist acts" in Delhi and other parts of the country.Anmol Bishnoi faces over 17 criminal cases in India and has been implicated in the Salman Khan firing case, along with his brother Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar.
In October, the National Investigation Agency has announced a reward of ₹10 lakh for information leading to the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi.Anmol Bishnoi, who is under the NIA radar for his alleged involvement in a firing incident outside actor Salman Khan's Mumbai residence in April, has also been put on the anti-terror agency's most wanted list.Anmol Bishnoi, also wanted in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, is accused of supplying the imported weapons used in the singer's killing,
