Markets close higher, Nifty above 25,000; oil& power stocks rally

The domestic share markets ended on a higher note in a rangebound session on Thursday.Atclose the Sensex was up 123.58 points or 0.15 percent at 81,548.73,and the Nifty was up 32.40 points or 0.13 percent 25,005.50.
Adani Enterprises, Shriram Finance, NTPC, Axis Bank, Power Grid were  the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Bajaj Auto, Infosys, SBI Life Insurance, Wipro, Titan Company.On the sectoral front, energy, PSU Bank, pharma, oil & gas, media up 0.5-1%, while IT index declined 0.5%, auto index shed 0.3%.Broader indices underperformed the main indices with BSE Midcap and smallcap indices finishing on flat note.
Rupee Close:
On 11 Sep'25,the Indian rupee ended 34 paise lower to close at 88.44 against the US dollar on Thursday  as concerns of US tariffs on the country continued to weigh on traders' sentiments.
