Karnataka Governor Thawarchand Gehlot will administer the Oath of office to the Congress Legislative Party leader Siddaramaiah as the new Chief Minister of Karnataka. Another senior leader D K Shivakumar will be sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister on Saturday. The 75 years old Siddaramaiah who was the Chief Minister of Karnataka for five years from 2013 to 2018 is getting a second term to occupy the top seat again now. Eight MLAs will take the oath of a cabinet ministers.

Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi and daughter Priyanka Gandhi are invited to the ceremony. Congress National President has invited Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and National Conference Chief Farooq Abdullah.
