Karnataka: Three dozen IPS officers transfrred

In a majore reshuffle,the Karnataka goernment has transferred more than three dozen IPS officers. This big reshuffle has affected IPS officers from 1990 to 2020 batches. Senior most IPS officer Kamal Pant has been posted until further orders as Director General of Police Commandant General, Home Force, Director, Civil Defence, Karnataka state concurrent charge of the post with immediate effect and until further orders.

Two IG posts are declared equivalent in status and responsibilities to the cadre post of Additional Director General of Police.
