Karnataka transport employees strike ends

A 5 day strike of four Karnataka transport corporation called off as government assured them of their 9 demands. But government ruled out to make them government servants. After hectic consultations with the warring unions and transport minister Lakshman Saudi finally clicked. The employees have given 3 months time for the implementation of the demands. Govt has accepted 9 of their total 10 demands. They will resume work with immediate effect. Bus services in the entire State came to stand still since last 5 days making inconvenience to the general public. 

All the employees will get 6th pay commission salary from January 2021. The union leaders regretted to the public for causing inconvenience. It is expected the bus services will become normal from Tuesday morning. The union has warned if the assurances given are not implemented in another three months time, they will again take the agitation route.The public are critical of the employees strike.
