In Karnataka, a new political controversy has raised the political temperature in the state. This time the matter is related the son of CM Siddaramaih. The BJP and the Janata Dal (Secular) has alleged that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's son's viral video, in which he asks his father to “work on a list” he has sent. But Siddaramaih has other version, he stated on Thursday that the discussion with Yathindra Siddaramaia was about corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds and not about “cash for transfer. In a video shared by several opposition leaders, including JD(S)’s HD Kumaraswamy, Yathindra can be heard talking to Siddaramaiah. He said, “I have given only five... Who is Vivekananda, Mahadevâ€æ I have not given that.” Kumaraswamy accused Yathindra, a former MLA from Varuna, of being involved in a 'cash for posting' scam.
After a video of purported phone call between CM @siddaramaiah & his son @Dr_Yathindra_S goes viral, opposition parties @BJP4Karnataka & @JanataDal_S allege misuse of power.

Call for probe & legal action against "transfer mafia" pic.twitter.com/GOc8tJQzcM
In a long post on X, the Chief Minister called the allegations an attempt to personally defame him and accused Kumaraswamy of having a sadistic mind."People of Karnataka have been seeing Kumaraswamy's attempt to personally defame me since his party lost miserably in the elections. Now he has gone one step further to hurt my family for his ulterior political motives. This has exposed his sadistic mindset," he said.
Unfortunately, former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, who was involved in rampant corruption during his tenure, thinks all are like him. His pessimistic attitude does not allow him to think beyond corruption. His insecurity in politics often forces him to fabricate fake stories…

"YST (Yatindra Siddaramaiah Tax)" gaining attention once again. The Government is treating the state like an ATM. Legal action must be taken against Yathindra and there needs to be accountability in the system. Siddaramaiah's stance on the matter remains awaited" BJP MLA Aswath Narayan alleged.
