In Karnataka, BJP has started preparaions for the Lok Sabha elections. Old guards have been asked to distance themselves from the electoral politics and on the other hand the highcommand has decided to bring young generation forward. By appointing Vijayendra Yediyurappa as the Kranataka BJP chief. He is the son of ex-CM B S Yediyurappa.

The party high command has started giving feelrs to some senior and old leaders that they will not be a party candidate in the coming general elction, due in April-May next year. Toeing the party line, BJP MP from Bengaluru North seat, D V Sadananda Gowda announced that he will retire from the electoral politics and will not fight election. But former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa stated that, BJP MP from Bengaluru North seat, D V Sadananda Gowda has been asked to retire from electoral politics by the BJP high command.Yediyurappa stated that former Chief Minister Gowda had announced retirement from electoral politics as per the directions of the senior leaders of the party. “He will involve himself in other activities of the party,” he stated.
Now, Karnataka political market is full of rumours. Sources said that why Yeddi announced the party high command's directives through media?Rumour mill also said that Sadananda Gowda is considering quitting the BJP as he had openly expressed his displeasure regarding the party’s alliance with the JD(S).It is also said that some senior Congress leaders and one ex- BJP leaders reportedly invited Sadanand to join the Congress. Gowda is without a minister since July 2021. Before that he served as th eminister of Railways, Law & Justice and Programme Implmentation.
