Delhi minister exposed AAP, Kejariwal in his resignation letter

In a big setback to Aam Admi Party (AAP), Delhi Minister and senior leader Kailash Gahlot resigned from the party.Gahlot was in charge of key portfolios in the Delhi government, including Home, transport, IT and Women and Child Development. In his resignation letter addressed to party convener Arvind Kejriwal, he has pointed to "grave challenges" AAP is facing from within. "Political ambitions have overtaken our commitment towards people, leaving many promises unfulfilled. Take for example the Yamuna, which we had promised to transform into a clean river, but never got around to doing it. Now the Yamuna River is perhaps even more polluted than ever before," he has said. He also addressed the controversy surrounding Arvind Kejriwal’s new official bungalow. Gahlot said, “There are several embarrassing and bizarre issues like the new bungalow, which have now led people to question whether we still believe in being the party of the common man.” He further stated that the continuous tussle between the Delhi government and the central government has hindered the city’s progress. “It is now clear that if the Delhi government spends most of its time fighting with the Centre, real progress for Delhi is not possible,” Gahlot added.Gahlot said AAP has been "fighting for own political agenda" and this has "severely crippled our ability to even deliver basic services to the people of Delhi".

In his letter to Chief Minister Atishi, Gahlot, the MLA from Najafgarh, tendered his resignation from the council of ministers with immediate effect.Though,Gahlot didi not unveiled his next political move but sources believed that he may join the BJP. The Delhi Assembly elections are due in February next year.
