In Uttar Pradesh, Union Electronics & Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav, unveiled the foundation stones for the Amber Enterprises and Ascent Circuits Electronics Manufacturing Plants at Jewar, Greater Noida. The projects mark another significant milestone in strengthening India's electronics manufacturing ecosystem and advancing the vision of Make in India and Viksit Bharat.
Addressing the gathering, Vaishnaw highlighted that after semiconductors, Jewar is now rapidly emerging as a major hub for electronics manufacturing, positioning Uttar Pradesh as one of India's leading destinations for high-tech manufacturing and investment. The Minister stated that advanced Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), valued at nearly Rs40,000 crore and previously imported into India, will now be manufactured domestically, significantly strengthening India's electronics value chain and self-reliance. He further mentioned that many more electronics and semiconductor manufacturing projects are set to come up in Uttar Pradesh, further establishing the state as a global manufacturing destination while creating large-scale investment and employment opportunities.

Highlighting the transformative impact of infrastructure, Vashnaw spoke about the Delhi–Lucknow–Varanasi–Patna–Siliguri Bullet Train corridor, noting that it will redefine connectivity across Uttar Pradesh and serve as a catalyst for industrial and economic growth. Vaishnaw reiterated that the Government is building a world-class manufacturing ecosystem by integrating advanced technology, modern infrastructure and industrial investments, making Uttar Pradesh a key driver of India's journey towards becoming a global manufacturing powerhouse.
Speaking on the occasion, said that the world is looking for a reliable, democratic, and capable manufacturing partner. He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has emerged as a trusted global manufacturing hub. The Minister said that political stability, transparent policies, a skilled young workforce, and rapidly developing infrastructure are making India a natural hub for the global supply chain.
In his address, CM Yogi expressed confidence that this investment will lay the foundation for a new revolution in the field of electronics manufacturing. At the same time, it will play an important role in fulfilling the resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a developed and self-reliant India-2047.

Yogi Adityanath also laid the foundation stone of SAEL's integrated solar manufacturing plant in Gautam Buddha Nagar district. He said that Uttar Pradesh's new scheme has arrived- 'One District-One Cuisine' We will strive to link most cuisines in it with GI-Tag. The Chief Minister said more than 96 lakh MSME units are operating within UP and employing over 3.25 crore people.
Amber Group, which reported consolidated revenue of Rs 12,306.63 crore (around USD 1.3 billion) in FY26, held a groundbreaking ceremony on Saturday for manufacturing facilities at the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), with a total investment of about Rs 6,785 crore.
