In Karnataka, the JD(S) on Saturday organized a massive protest against the Congress government over price hike and alleged corruption in Bengaluru. The protest led by Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy held at Freedom Park under its campaign "Sakappa Saaku Congress Sarkara" (Enough is Enough Congress Government). Later, talking to reporters, Union Minister and JD(S) state president HD Kumaraswamy alleged that for the last two years, the Karnataka state government has been burdening the common man by imposing taxes in many sectors and that is why we are protesting and demanding that relief should be given to the people.

JD(S) Youth President Nikhil Kumaraswamy also alleged that the Congress dispensation has continuously increased prices of essential commodities for the past two years. "Gradually, every sector has seen price hikes, pushing the people of the state into distress. There is growing debate across the state about the government's actions," he stated.
