External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar on Friday met the team of the Indian Embassy in Washington and the consuls general based in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Houston, and Atlanta. They discussed opportunities for deepening India-US partnership, focusing on technology, trade and investments. Dr. Jaishankar also shared views on better serving the Indian community in the US.

Dr Jaishankar on Friday evening met with Rep. Mike Waltz in Washington DC and discussed a wide-ranging conversation on bilateral partnership as well as current global issues. US President elect Donald Trump has appointed Waltz his National Security Advisor.

Earlier, Jaishankar held a meeting with US Secretary Antony Blinken in Washington DC. In a social media post, Dr. Jaishankar said that the meeting reviewed the advancement of India and USA partnership over the last four years. He expressed confidence that the India-US relationship will serve our mutual interests as well as global good.
