ISRO all set to open its facilities for private sector

WHO Chief, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has said, when safe and effective COVID19 vaccines are ready, they will be allocated based on principles agreed by the ACT-Accelerator and its partners.He added that it is to be  ensured that essential and vulnerable populations are protected first and that initial supplies are used wisely. Ghebreyesus informed that over 170 countries & economies, representing more than 90% of the Earth globe europe-africa’s population, have joined forces in the COVAX Facility till date.The COVAX Facility stands for safe development, & equitable & smart prioritization of eventual COVID19 vaccines.

-Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar has said that all eight beaches recommended by the Government has got the coveted International Blueflag Certification.In a tweet, Mr Javadekar said, its a proud moment for India.He said, it is an outstanding feat, as no Blueflag nation has ever been awarded for 8 beaches in a single attempt.The beaches which got International Blueflag Certification are Shivrajpur beach in Dwarka Gujarat, Ghoghla beach in Diu, Kasarkod and Padubidri in Karnataka, Kappad in Kerala, Rushikonda in Andhra Pradesh, Golden Beach in Odisha and Radhanagar beach in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.The iconic Blue Flag is one of the world’s most recognised voluntary awards for beaches, marinas.In order to qualify for the Blue Flag, a series of stringent environmental, educational, safety and accessibility criteria is met and maintained.A world-renowned award trusted by millions around the globe, the Blue Flag programme is operated under the auspices of the Foundation for Environmental Education, FEE and is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark.   

-Minister of State in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh has said that Indian Space Research Organisation, ISRO is all set to open its facilities for the private sector. Dr Singh said, possibly for the first time in the history of Independent India, future projects for planetary exploration and outer space travel will be open for the private sector. The Minister said that Indian private sector will be a co-traveller in India's Space Sector journey. He said, private companies will be provided a level playing field in satellite launches and space based activities. He said, with the creation of Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre, IN-SPACe, there will be a mechanism in place and the private sector will be allowed to use ISRO’s facilities and other relevant assets to improve their capacities.

-The BJP has released another list of 46 candidates for the Bihar assembly polls.The party has fielded Minister Nand Kishor Yadav from Patna Sahib seat and sitting MLA Nitin Naveen from Bankipur.Former MP Omprakash Yadav will contest from Siwan and Nitish Mishra from Jhanjharpur seat. All the 46 seats will go to polls in the second phase of assembly election on the 3rd of November.The BJP today also released the list of 16 candidates for the assembly By-polls in five states.The Party has announced the names for seven seats in Gujarat, four in Manipur, two each in Jharkhand and Odisha and one in Chhattisgarh.BJP has fielded former Minister Dr Loius Marandi from Dumka seat in Jharkhand, Dr Gambhir Singh from Marwahi in Chhatisgarh, Raj Kishore Behera from Tirtol in Odisha, J V Kakadia from Dhari in Gujarat and Oinam Lukhoi Singh from Wangoi seat in Manipur.By-poll in 54 assembly constituencies in 10 states will be held on the 3rd of November. In Manipur, the bypolls will take place on 7th November.

-In Tamil Nadu, the principal opposition DMK has formed an eight member panel for preparing its election manifesto for the forthcoming Assembly General Elections.A release by the party General Secretary Duraimurugan says, the committee will consist of its treasurer TR Baalu, members of Parliament A.Raja, Trichy Siva, Kanimozhi and TKS Elangovan among others.In Tamil Nadu, the Assembly Elections are due next year.
