The Israel Defense Forces on Sunday issued an urgent evacuation warning to residents of multiple towns and villages in southern Lebanon, asking them to move at least 1,000 metres away from their homes amid ongoing military operations against Hezbollah.
In a statement, the military said the advisory covered 11 locations in the region and cautioned civilians to relocate to open areas for their safety. It added that the operations were being carried out following what it described as a violation of a ceasefire arrangement, warning that anyone near Hezbollah operatives or infrastructure could be at risk.Israel has continued to conduct strikes across southern Lebanon in recent days, while its forces remain deployed in parts of the border region. The military has said it is targeting infrastructure allegedly used by Hezbollah, including sites it claims are linked to militant activities.

The escalation comes amid ongoing cross-border hostilities, with Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, continuing to launch drone and rocket attacks targeting Israeli positions in southern Lebanon and northern Israel. The situation has raised concerns over further deterioration in security conditions along the Israel-Lebanon border, as both sides intensify operations despite previous ceasefire understandings.
