India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan was rushed to a hospital in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh after he sustained a head injury while batting during the second T20I against Sri Lanka on Saturday. Apart from Ishan Kishan, Sri Lanka batter Dinesh Chandimal was also taken to the hospital after he endured a thumb injury while fielding in the second T20I. Ishan was admitted to the normal ward as a precautionary measure and a CT scan was done immediately when he was admitted. The incident happened in the Indian innings when a 146 kmph delivery hit Ishan on his helmet.
India rode on explosive knocks from Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson and Ravindra Jadeja, to make light work of a 184-run target in the 2nd T20I, chasing it in just 17.1 overs on Saturday. Rohit Sharma's men took a 2-0 unbeatable lead in the 3-match series. India also extended their winning run in T20I cricket to 11 matches, a streak that began at last year's T20 World Cup. Since then, India have won the T20I series 3-0 against New Zealand and West Indies at home.
