Irresponsibility increases Coronavirus in Karnataka

Corona is spreading its tentacles every where in entire Karnataka State despite many governmental restrictions. If the speed of infections is not controlled efficiently, the number of infected people in the state may raise to over 8 lakhs by the year end. We may see a hectic raise of 3 lakh by this month end in coronites number from present 1.3 lakh. Half of which is in capital Bengaluru. During the lockdown period Karnataka showed impressive control over the spread of deadly virus steadily lost  in the post unlock period. Virus spread like wild fire in Bengaluru and every area is now infected and making entire city a containment zone. This is mainly because of the lifting lockdown and opening free movement of people every where. Buses, taxis, autos carried passengers to all places. Shops and markets opened. All restrictions removed giving virus a free hand to infect more and more people accross the state. It's mainly due to the negligence of people in adehering to the safety precautions issued by the government. Equally, government is also responsible for this situation for not enforcing its own guide lines like wearing face masks and maintaining social distance. So, both have to be blamed for this chaotic situation.

Deaths is another concern

Around 2500 deaths are reported so far and it's steadily increasing especially in capital Bengaluru. Medical facilities are not available as claimed by the government. Private Hospitals are not obeying the government rates and charging fancy rates which is not affordable for common people. The government hospitals lack facilities and most deaths are reported from here due to negligence in treating infected. Although the Bruhat Bengaluru Metropolitan BBMP recently conducted a raid on such erring hospitals and issued notices to cancel their licenses nothing much has improved. Government has fixed 3000 for corona testing but they charge 5000. If admitted in a private hospital one has to pay over 5 lakh for about 10 day quarantine. Leave alone serious cases in ICU and ventilator. Ambulances are also not available timely for +ve cases. Many deaths are reported including pregnant women for non availability of ambulances and for not getting admission in hospitals. There is dearth of doctors and nurses throughout the state. It's expected that the death rate would come down slowly as the medical facilities  improves steadily.

Concern in districts

As lot of exodus from Bengaluru to the rural areas, there is spurt in corona infections. Over 25 lakh people migrated to various districts from Bengaluru to the rural areas making them insecure. The medical facilities available is not sufficient in villages and the virus spread will be more in these places.

Recovery rate increasing

Whatever is said about the spread of virus in whatever way, it is difficult to understand the situation due to its grave cruelty in attacking ignorant people, there is a hope in recovery rate. Now the present recovery rate is about 42% which has to be increased to atleast 50% immediately. This can be achieved only when both government and people join their hands together to control this deadly virus. Government has to provide better health facilities and people to take all necessary precautions to contain the spread. Staying in home, wearing mask when going out and eating immunity generating food are few things to be observed.
