Iran’s leader urges Muslim rulers to confront their true enemy

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei urged Muslim rulers on Sunday to identify what he called their true enemy and confront its plans, particularly in West Asia and the Persian Gulf. “My emphatic and repeated recommendation to the rulers of Islamic countries, particularly those in West Asia and along the Persian Gulf, is to identify your true enemy, understand its plan and confront it,” Khamenei wrote in a message marking “Islamic Unity Week.”
He said Islam had reached a decisive moment after enduring turbulent periods. “Today, the prospect of the ultimate triumph of truth over falsehood and Islam over unbelief is far closer to becoming a reality than at any time in the past,” read the message. Khamenei accused the United States and Israel of seeking to divide Muslim countries, saying their hostility extended beyond Iran and its allied groups. "The enemy seeks to fragment the Muslim community,” he said.
During the war, Iran targeted US military bases across the Middle East, including in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain.Relations with those nations have since soured.
Khamenei, who has the final say on major state policies, also called on Iranian officials and citizens to put aside differences and come together against Israel and the United States. "Again, this servant's advice to the Iranian people is to not allow any differences to arise among themselves in any way," he said, echoing remarks made in another statement on Friday.He also called for the gradual de-dollarisation of the Iranian economy and for boosting economic production to support growth following months of a US naval blockade and years of crippling sanctions that have hit livelihoods.
