Iran Guard spokesman killed in US-Israeli strikes

Ali Mohammad Naini, spokesperson for Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, has been killed in early Friday strikes, the IRGC said in statement. This come minutes after he was quoted outlining continued missile production despite the ongoing war and warning of “surprises” and more complex operations ahead. This is the fourth major blow to Iran government and military leadership this week with the country having lost three other top officials - Ali Larijani, Gholamreza Soleimani and Esmail Khatib - in strikes.
Esmail Ahmadi, a senior intelligence official in Iran’s Basij and deputy to its commander, has been dead. Guards-linked Tasnim website described Ahmadi as “one of the most important pillars of the Basij organization” who held key security responsibilities.Maritime security firm Ambrey said a US and Israeli strike targeted Iran’s Bandar Lengeh port on Friday, with no casualties or damage to merchant vessels reported.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told his British counterpart Yvette Cooper in a phone call that any US use of British bases would be seen as "participation in aggression" against the Islamic Republic. It was not clear when the call with Cooper took place. "These actions will certainly be regarded as participation in aggression and will be recorded in the history of relations between the two countries," said Araghchi, according to a statement released Friday by the foreign ministry.
Meanwhile, loud explosions were reported in several Iranian cities overnight into Friday. Reports said blasts were heard in Bandar Lengeh, and Isfahan, while officials in Yazd said two military sites outside the city were targeted early Friday. Explosions were also heard in Kerman province’s Bardsir and Baft counties, as well as in Arak.
