ICC Women's WC:India beat Bangladesh by 110 runs

In the Women's world cup, India on Tuesday win the contest by 110 runs. In response to India's 229/7, Bangladesh could only manage 119/10 in 40.3 overs. India posted 229/7 in 50 overs after opting to bat first against Bangladesh in the must-win Women's World Cup fixture in Hamilton. Yastika Bhatia, who scored 50, emerged as the leading run-scorer. In response, Bangladesh got off to a slow start and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. They are batting on 107/9 after 38 overs. Meanwhile, Mithali Raj failed to live up to her reputation, getting out for a golden duck. Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana got the team to a perfect start, adding 74 runs for the opening wicket.

Jhulan Goswami cleans up Ritu Moni to hand India the final Bangladesh wicket. Jahanara Alam smashes a couple of boundaries in the previous over bowled by Sneh Rana to take Bangladesh's total to 115/9 after 40 overs. Rana also completes her 10 overs, in which she picked four wickets and conceded 30 runs. India need to win games against Bangladesh and South Africa to stay alive in the tournament.
