Golden Globe Awards announced

The 79th edition of the Golden Globe Awards has been announced. The Power Of The Dog movie won the two biggest awards, one of Best Film in Drama category and another of Best Director honoured upon Jane Campion. Will Smith took home his first Golden Globe of Best Film Actor for his movie King Richard. Nicole Kidman won her fifth Golden Globe for Best Film Actress for Being The Ricardos. 
West Side Story directed by Steven Spielberg won major awards that included Best Film in Comedy/Musical segment, Best Film Actress for Rachel Zegler and Best Supporting Actress for Ariana DeBose. Andrew Garfield won Best Film Actor award in comedy/musical segment for Tick, Tick... BOOM!. In the TV category, ‘Succession’ series from Jesse Armstrong, took home two more awards as series stars Jeremy Strong won best actor award and Sarah Snook won best actress in a supporting role. It also won the Best Drama Series. Jason Sudeikis won Best TV Actor in Comedy/Musical category for Ted Lasso.  
Kenneth Branagh won the best screenplay in motion picture Globe for his black-and-white and semi-biographical film ‘Belfast’. Oscar frontrunner and Japanese film ‘Drive My Car’ was named the best motion picture - non English and Disney's 'Encanto' was selected as the best motion picture - animated. The Golden Globe Awards this time was announced via a liveblog by Hollywood Foreign Press Association due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
