Freedom struggle begins again: Imran Khan’s first reaction after losing

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has  reiterated his 'foreign conspiracy' claim and said the "freedom struggle begins again". In his first reaction, since his ouster as Pakistani prime minister after losing the no-trust vote on midnight on Sunday, said even though the country became an independent state in 1947 freedom, the struggle has begun again against a foreign conspiracy of regime change.

Khan was brought down after a day of drama and often vitriolic remarks. His supporters accused Washington of orchestrating his ouster and his party walked out of Parliament shortly before the vote. In the end, 174 lawmakers in the 342-seat Parliament voted to depose him, two more than the required simple majority. Khan on Sunday chaired a meeting of the PTI's central core executive committee (CEC) in Bani Gala to discuss the future course of action as the cricketer-turned-politician appears to continue his brinkmanship and cling to power at all cost.

Senior PTI leader and former information minister Fawad Chaudhry has announced that his party would resign from the National Assembly tomorrow (Monday) if the party's reservations regarding PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif's nomination as the prime minister are not addressed, Pakistan news media has reported. A special court of the Federal Investigation Agency is likely to indict PM hopeful Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza in a money laundering case on Monday.
