Ex-Congress MLA Aditi Singh gets ticket in BJP's list

In the third list for Uttar Pradesh, BJP has given ticket to ex- Congress MLA Aditi Sing from Rai Bareli seat. Former Kanpur top cop, Asim Arun, will contest the polls from Kannauj, the BJP said on Friday while releasing a list of 85 candidates. Other important BJP candidates and their constituencies include ex-Samajwadi Party MLA Nitin Agarwal from Hardoi, Riya Shakya from Bidhuna, ex-BSP leader Ramveer Upadhyay from Sadabad, Archana Pandey from Chhibramau and Satish Mahana from Maharajpur. 

The polling in Uttar Pradesh will be held on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27 and March 3 and 7 in seven phases. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
