French President Emmanuel Macron was left stranded on the streets of New York after the police stopped his vehicle to make way for US President Donald Trump's motorcade. Macron was on his way back from the United Nation General Assembly when the incident took place. Macron then stepped out of his car and approached the police to enquire about the roadblock. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media."I am sorry, Mr President. Everything is blocked now," one police officer is heard telling Macron. After this,Macron humorously asked Trump to clear the way. "How are you? Guess what happened? I am waiting in the street because everything is closed for you," Macron was heard telling Trump.The French President didn't get back in his car and continued his journey on foot even as he continued to speak to Trump on the phone.

Macron is in New York for the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. He was on his way back to the French Embassy when his vehicle was stopped.
