Dr Pandey appointed Election Commissioner

In a sudden move the government og India has appointed Dr Anoop Chandra Pandey as the new  Election Commissioner in Election Commission of India. Presently he is a member of green tribunal following is retirement.He is a 1984 batch IAS officer and retired as Chief Secretary, UP about two years back. One post of Election Commissioner was lying vacant after the promotion of Sushil Chnadra as CEC. Chandra is an IRS-IT officer. Chandra was promoted when Sunil Arora retired on April 12. this year. With the appointment of Dr Pandey all three posts of ECs are filed up.
