A gunman has killed three people and injured others, three of them critically, at one of biggest shopping malls in Danish capital Copenhagen. Police said, a 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the attack which sparked panic among shoppers at Field's mall in south Copenhagen. Police Inspector Soeren Thomassen said, the motive was unclear and he could not rule out an act of terrorism. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said, Denmark had suffered a cruel attack. Sending condolences to those who had lost loved ones, the Prime Minister said she wanted to encourage Danes to stand together and support each other in this difficult time.
The identities of those killed have not been released, but authorities said that they are two 17-year-old Danes, one male and one female, and a 47-year-old Russian man living in Denmark. The four critically injured are two Danes, a 40-year-old woman and a 19-year-old woman, and two Swedes, a 50-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl, officials said. The mall is near the Royal Arena, where Harry Styles was scheduled to perform concert on Sunday night. The concert was later canceled at the direction of Danish police, entertainment company Live Nation said.
