Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar has courted yet another controversy after he was caught on camera slapping a party worker in public on Saturday. His act was captured on camera. According to reports, congress leaders had arrived in Mandya on Friday to find out the health of a party MP when a party worker accompanying him tried to put his hand on his shoulder and he allegedly slapped him back. The video of the incident spread like fire on social media. In the viral video, Shivakumar can be heard saying how this behaviour is in this place. I've given you freedom, but that doesn't mean you can do it. Shiv Kumar also said that he got angry as no social distancing was maintained.
Speaking on the incident, BJP spokesperson S Prakash said, "The high-handed behaviour of DK Shivakumar towards his own karyakarta is highly deplorable. He is unable to shed his previous image. He is repeatedly indulging in arrogant behaviour even towards his own cadre. The party is being headed by a person who does not have basic decency in public life."
