China openly lobbying against United States. Beiginj has send its Chief of the International Relations Department of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Liu Jianchao on a four day visit to Nepal. Chinese leader Liu has reportedly lobbied to “discourage and discredit” Nepal-US relations. Instead, it is exerting pressure on Nepali political leaders to “further strengthen” Nepal-China relations. According to Khabar Hub, during his meeting with Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka, Liu repeatedly showed his interest in the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), State Partnership Program (SPP), and Indo-Pacific Strategy. This is an indication that how China has been trying to create a “non-diplomatic pressure” on Nepal to dampen its relations with the United States. Liu told them that China, too, would provide assistance and support to Nepal and asked them not to strengthen relations with the United States. Liu also asked the Maoist leaders, who were present in the meeting, to be cautious as the US policy in Indo-Pacific, including the Indo-Pacific Strategy, was basically aimed at surrounding China,newspaper said.
As per media report, visiting head of the International Liaison Department of the Chinese Communist Party, Liu Jianchao on Tuesday met with CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli at the latter’s residence in Balkot. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the current political situation, bilateral issues, and Communist unity in the countr.He has already met Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka, and Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”. Liu leading a six-member team.
