BJP slams Rahul Gandhi 'H files' presser, Haryana voter fraud claims

The BJP on Wednesday dismissed Rahul Gandhi's allegation of mass vote theft in the Haryana Assembly Polls as "false and baseless" and accused the Congress leader of raising questions on the Election Commission to hide his failures and defame the country's democracy. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju advising the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha to discuss “serious issues.” Addressing a press conference in New Delhi Rijiju alleged that Rahul Gandhi “is in collusion with anti-India forces” and said that the “games he is playing will never succeed”. He also stated that Rahul Gandhi was attempting to provoke Gen Z, but claimed that “the youth of this country are wise and stand by PM Narendra Modi.”

Questioning Gandhi’s decision to cite exit and opinion poll estimates, Rijiju said these were prone to variation, adding that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which was predicting a win for itself in the 2004 Lok Sabha polls, did not start shedding tears when the actual results proved otherwise. We did not abuse the Election Commission. We accepted it and congratulated the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) and the Congress’s allies. In a democracy, whether it is victory or defeat, it has to be accepted, he said. The Congress had won Assembly polls in several states along with other Opposition parties, Rijiju said, citing non-NDA governments in Telangana, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, and asked why these wins were not being questioned, he asked.

BJP's Radhika Khera also countered Gandhi's ‘Brazilian model’ charge with a jibe on voting by an “Italian woman”, apparently referring to his mother Sonia Gandhi. “A vote was also cast in Hindustan by an 'Italian' woman. Do you know her name??” she wrote in Hindi on X.
