BJP all set to retain power in UP and Uttarakhand, AAP in Punjab

As per available trends till noon on Thursday, BJP is on course ta clear win in UP,Uttarakhand and Manipur while AAP is sweeping Punjab, BJP inches closer to a majority in the 40 member Goa assembly. Goa CM and BJP leader Pramod Sawant said that the BJP will form the government. "We will take MGP and independent candidates with us," he said. Utpal Parrikar, son of late CM Manohar Parrikar was traiing when report last came in.  "As an Independent candidate it was a good fight, I thank the people. Satisfied with the fight but the result is a little disappointing," he said. Official trends for all 40 seats in Goa out; BJP leading on 18, Congress on 12. CM Pramod Sawant now leading by over 300 votes so far in Sanquelim. Majority mark in the state is 21.Congress' Punjab Chief, Navjot Singh Siddhu, has ‘humbly accepted’ the people's mandate saying, ‘the voice of the people is the voice of God’.

AAP candidate Ajitpal Singh Kohli, who defeated former CM Captain Amarinder Singh from Patiala.Bhagwant Mann maintains lead of 42,030 votes from Dhuri; Mann gets 61133 votes, while Congress candidate Dalvir Singh Goldy gets 19,103 after 10 rounds; four more rounds to go.
