In Bihar, during the phase one polling on Thursday, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha's convoy was reportedly attacked in Lakhisarai, with reports of stones and objects was thrown in his direction also coming in. According to a report, the incident happened while Sinha, who is also the BJP candidate from the constituency, was entering the Khoriari village in Lakhisarai with the convoy. A group of people reportedly hurled slippers and pelted stones at the convoy, trying to stop it from entering the village. Chants of “Murdabad” also rang from the crowd.

The BJP leader alleged that the protesters were goons backed by the main opposition, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). "The NDA government is coming back to power in Bihar. We will run bulldozers on their chest," he said, infuriated after the incident. He also alleged booth capturing at some booths. "My polling agent was thrown out of the booth. People are not being allowed to vote," Sinha said. Sinha also demanded the deployment of central forces, calling the district police "cowardly and weak", and announced plans to sit on a protest in the same village. However, police have said that it was a protest by local villagers and that the situation is under control.

Responding to the incident, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said that no one would be allowed to break the law and order and directed Bihar DGP to take strict action the miscreants.
